A Different Way to Cater for Events: Hog Roasts

Filed under: Animal Supplies, Food Center, Nutrition Tips — @ 5:36 am

if you are worrying about catering for larger events then don’t because there is an easy resolution to your troubles.if you are catering in an casual manner then hold a hog roast as its the simplest way.back when hog roasts were somewhat new it was simply the very affluent and very prestigious who could afford to host a hog roast but now anyone can.I’m reasonably convinced that spit roasting is more fashionable now than it was in medieval times, but just more inexpensive. The only small differences in the cooking methods used now and hundreds of years ago are to do with the equipment that both we and they use to cook the hog.We use a gas barbeque and a mechanic turning system whereas they would have used a manual turning arrangement and a fire pit filled with rocks or charcoal to absorb the heat. The results on the other hand are completely the same as they were when cooked in medieval times, a beautifully cooked hog, dripping with flavour and covered in golden brown crackling. the most standard animals that are spit roasted are pigs, lambs, sheep and chickens but there are also reports of goat roasts and even a cattle roast where a whole cow was roasted on a spit, so which animal is up to you.I hope this short article has helped you make the best decisions when choosing how to cater for your events.
