New Centrino Gaming Portables Being Launched by Tier One Brands

Filed under: Internet Technology Resources — @ 8:52 pm

Not so long a go it seemed like gaming laptop computers were only obtainable from special retailers and they were traditionally custom made. They were pretty much like a low qty production plant. Did not ship in numbers but generated a lot of profit on each one. These trendy laptop computers were just too expensive. Everybody thought they were the best laptops and rightly so. Gaming laptops would get everyone thrilled in regard to what’s to widely available in a few years however I don’t believe they would buy laptops like this knowing the price is going to slide rapidly. As more established brands see the profits in the gaming notebook market, stuff looks to have shifted.

I reckon they would class it as a premium laptop and make tons of money on these particularly with their mass production facilities. These manufacturers have possibly been losing a bit of money on average units so this should be an attractive opportunity. Persuading prospects to buy laptops is sort of effortless for larger brands. I have no idea what this will do to littler system builders however it will have a bad effect on them. Now gaming notebooks will no longer be viewed as a specialist market. I believe purchasing from a recognisable brand additionally gives the perception of added value for money.

To my astonishment the mass produced gaming laptops are as good or even better than the best laptops available to buy. This is actually the main competitive selling point remaining for the littler system builders. Being able to get specifically what components they desire is a huge advantage for many people who are thinking of purchasing a gaming laptop computer. Typically a lot of evaluations of the specifications will be carried out and the techies can decide what the better laptop really is. For a couple of purchasers, the technical details and power may be way more important compared to looks.

For the consumer, this has lots of advantages. Newer technology will be increasingly purchasable in the future for most consumers as it will act to push costs down further. I am not actually certain any of that will take place however. Whether notebook prices will be reduced overall is an additional matter however the best laptops are typically high priced. Since the big brand manufacturers have already begun introducing gaming laptops, I suppose we’ll have to be patient to witness what occurs.

Inside a Cisco Router

Filed under: Internet Technology Resources — @ 5:20 pm

Inside a Cisco Router

The mainframe of a Cisco router is essentially the same as a normal desktop computer, and higher-model routers will have multiple processors and places to add more CPUs if needed. There are seven different internal components of a Cisco router. These are the CPU, RAM, NVRAM, Flash, ROM, housing and interfaces. By using other element components, the mainframe executes some commands that are given by the IOS or the operating system.

What sets a router apart from a PC is the fact that a router can perform special tasks like controlling or routing traffic between networks. Both the router and the PC have similar components much as a motherboard, RAM and an operative system. Basically, routers are a unique type of computer.

RAM is upgradeable, however, it loses its content when power is cut. RAM is used to stop the ARP cache, store routing tables, buffer information packets and stop queues. Also, it acts as a temporary module for the configuration router when the system boots up. The NVRAM is a nonvolatile RAM that stop your configuration files for startup. When the unit is powered off or restarted this type of RAM is not lost.

Flash ROM is upgradeable on most Cisco routers. This helps to hold information on software and hardware components for each node connected to the network. This aspect can be upgraded by simply removing the chip and installing a new one, which will give you a new version of the IOS. The Flash module is one of the most important aspects of a Cisco router because it stores the IOS image file for all software, and it stores all software backup. In this way, it acts similar to System Restore.

A Cisco router is able to use a combination of transceivers, card modules or onboard interfaces. The housing of the router is made up of physical plugs and jacks settled on the router, and it’s meant to act as an access port for different software setups. LAN, WAN and Console/Auxiliary network types can be connected here, and higher-end Cisco routers can be organized in several different topographies when creating a network interface. PC Wholesale is outfitted to supply memory upgrades for every Cisco router.

Gaming Laptops, Custom Built Laptops And Mids A Growing Sector

Filed under: Internet Technology Resources — @ 4:41 pm

Everybody requires laptop computers it seems. How did we ever survive without them? Those searching for the latest montevina platform could be kept waiting as manufacturers have given warning of possible delivery shortages. I think the worst thing for manufacturers is that it doesn’t look like any factor will hinder this demand for laptops. The technology is progressing in all directions simultaneously as well.

One of the growing trends is gaming notebooks. I feel gaming notebooks have never been at such low prices. You can grab some extremely good bargains out there that will get you gaming. Performance is also getting better and gaming on laptops is becoming more adaquate for gaming by those who need to be mobile. Further positives to come from developed manufacturing techniques is smaller, cooler components that allow for thinner, pleasing cases. Regardless off all the beneficial features of notebooks, desktops should always run more rapidly than them. I don’t give it too long before we see ultra mobile gaming notebooks on the shelves.

Despite the fact that the market share is governed by brands marketing via retail outlets I feel the direct channel and custom built notebooks will always be about. I feel the components are more well known and run more reliably. You can usually save cash on things you don’t need by specing the system to your needs. Those notebooks available in retail are for common use. Mass customisation of notebook compputers has got around this problem. There are loads of companies providing custom notebooks, with amazing customer support. Because of this buyers will give up on the well known brand name.

It’s intriguing to see new laptops hitting the market every year. I forgot to mention the large growth of internet devices and notebooks. This niche is already facing tons of competition and is becoming overcrowded. Ideally everybody would want an ultramobile laptop with a 15″ lcd. If you utilise slightly less more efficient components then I figure this is really possible already. I can predict its not too long before we begin seeing gaming notebooks that are weightless. I honestly can’t guess what to await apart from those produtcs spoken of. Someone is formulating a product to be unique in a saturated market.

I found some really good gaming laptops from rizeon.

Look ‘Em in the Eyes: The Real Power of Eye Contact

Filed under: Internet Technology Resources — @ 3:35 pm

“At that moment when our eyes are
locked in silent communication, we are,
in essence, touching.” -Debbie Bailey

Besides touch (not really an option in
a presentation setting), eye contact is
the most powerful and personal of all
of presentation delivery cues. When
you look an audience member in the
eyes, for those few seconds, you are
talking directly to him/her.

Why is eye contact so powerful? Good
eye contact cuts physical distance in
half, helps you connect with your
audience on a personal level, invites
audience members to participate in your
presentation (if I look at you long
enough you WILL talk), enables you to
gauge your audience’s reaction to your
presentation, stops hecklers from
pestering you, and so much more.

The fact is, when you look someone
directly in the eyes, it is as if you
are standing much closer to him/her.
In a presentation setting, close is
good. The closer you are, the more
immediate you are, thus the harder you
are to ignore. Think about it from the
audience’s perspective-it is much
easier to tune out a presenter who is
farther away from you (I can’t see you,
you can’t see me). Because the
audience members seated closest to you
will have the best experience anyway,
use your good eye contact to move
yourself physically closer to audience
members seated in the back of the room.

Your eye contact also provides you
with valuable feedback about how the
audience is receiving your message.
Approval, confusion, excitement,
hostility, frustration, and many other
emotions are all expressed through your
audience’s body language. Eye contact
will help you read and react to the
silent messages your audience is
sending you about their understanding,
their likes, and their dislikes so you
can determine what to reinforce,
review, hurry through, etc.

There is definitely an art to making
good, strong eye contact. The best eye
contact is direct and sustained-lasting
4 to 5 seconds per audience member.
That is MUCH longer than most people
think. In fact, inexperienced
presenters often make the mistake of
glancing quickly around the room
without holding eye contact for any
length of time. Their eye contact
appears to bounce from person to
person.

Instead, look at each audience
member until you see him/her silently
acknowledge you before moving on to
someone else. This will help you forge
a much greater connection with each
individual in your audience.

Be aware that most presenters show eye
contact favoritism. This means that
they look at certain people in the
audience more than others. Research
indicates that we tend to look at the
audience members who give us the most
positive feedback and also the people
with the most authority (i.e. the CEO
in the room). While it is confirming
to look at the people who are enjoying
our presentation (”they like me they
really do”), make it a point to look at
everyone as equally as possible.
Audience members who don’t feel that
you are talking to them (as
demonstrated by your lack of eye
contact) will have the tendency to tune
out. And as for looking at the people
in power, remember, they are watching
you to see how you treat the others in
their organization. The best way to
demonstrate your fairness and respect
is through eye contact equality.

Want more proof about the power of eye
contact? Try using your eye contact to
make someone speak. Look someone
directly in the eyes and sit silently,
saying nothing. Then just wait (it is
hard to do, but be patient). The
individual you are looking at will be
compelled to speak. Behold, the POWER
of eye contact!

Conversely, if you have a heckler in
the audience, you need to use a
different visual tactic. Hecklers-
defined as those who want only to
embarrass or annoy-almost always sit in
the back of the room, where you have
difficulty seeing them. Hecklers want
to remain anonymous, that’s why you
need to use your eye contact to single
them out. With your eyes, say, “I know
who you are and I see what you’re
doing.” Sometimes, I even walk closer
to them while looking at them-it
absolutely unnerves them. Then, once
you’ve established that you see them–
NEVER look at them again. All except
the most persistent hecklers will get
the message.

If eye contact is the most powerful
nonverbal communicator, why do many
presenters waste precious eye contact
looking at their slides? Presenters
watch their slides (instead of their
audience) as if at any moment, their
slides might change into something new
and exciting–”I’ve got to keep my eyes
on them because you never know what
they will do.” Avoid the tendency to
look at your slides. Instead, focus
the power of your eye contact on that
which may really surprise you-your
audience.

Copying your DVDs

Filed under: Internet Technology Resources — @ 4:10 am

DVD copying is useful for many reasons. Music DVD sales doubled last year and should continue to grow. When you buy a DVD you should think about buying DVD copying software and equipment so you can have an extra copy available. It is not legal to use DVD copying to make copies of movies, games or music you don’t own but if you have purchased a DVD, CD, or game, you can make a back up copy.

There are so many new DVD’s on the market and you may want to buy DVD copying equipment so you can be ready when you need a back up copy of a new purchase. The recording industry has suffered lately so labels are looking in vaults and archives for video possibilities. There are concert films, documentaries, and all kinds of music DVD releases that have come out recently. After you buy any of these you can use your DVD copying software to make an extra copy. Just make sure you are not selling these copies to anyone.

Now you can find a variety of video packages featuring all sizes and prices. They are beginning to compete with Hollywood movies. These music DVDs are very popular and are selling well almost everywhere. One of the new DVDs coming out this spring is Fade to Black. This is the retirement concert of Jigga at Madison Square Garden. Beyonce, P. Diddy, Missy Elliot and Pharrell also perform.

AC/DC has a two-disc set called Family Jewels, that will be released soon. The late vocalist, Bon Scott, is featured and also Brian Johnson. There is a lot of rare footage on this DVD and when you buy it, make an extra copy with your DVD copying software. The Ramones have a documentary coming out this spring called, End of the Century. This documentary is funny and kind of sad and tells about the late Johnny, Joey, and Dee Dee. Public Enemy, Devo and Phil Collins have DVDs that will be available soon.

When you have DVD copying equipment you can also make copies of game programs. You will be able to copy your entire VHS collection and any DVDs you own. You can use your DVD copying equipment to copy more than just music! Check around before you purchase DVD copying equipment and software. It is available at stores, through catalogues and on the internet. Magazines offer DVD copying software too. There are many different brands of DVD copying equipment so you should look around and do some research before you buy. Find out if the DVD copying equipment has the features you want and how difficult it is to operate.

Compare prices before you purchase DVD copying equipment and software. There can be quite a difference between brands. There can also be a difference in prices depending on where you purchase the DVD copying equipment. DVD copying equipment is readily available and easy to use. If you want to make back up copies of DVDs, CDs and games you own, consider DVD copying equipment and software.
